These are tough times for everyone, especially for those of us with a predisposition to trauma or other issues. We may be feeling lonely due to restrictions and social distancing. We might feel afraid about the uncertainty of the future. We might just be obsessing about “when will this end?” Remember to take care of yourself during this time. Self-care is vitally important during these hard times. Make sure that you are checking-in with yourself and noticing any warning signs like:
- Increased alcohol consumption
- Sleep disruptions
- Low levels of energy
- Changes in appetite or “stress eating”
- Weight loss or gain
- Obsessive thoughts
- Excessive worrying
